Description
After 7 years of the Belle Isle Zoo being shut down "temporarily" By the former Mayor of Detroit and his money scams the Zoo is slowly but surely opening up again, all free and all done by pure volunteer work so far the botanical conservatory, the oldest running Aquariums (1904), Great Lakes Museum, and Nature center with the small herd of the European Fallow Deer that were introduced to the island in 1895 have re-opened.
I hope that the original part of the zoo can be reconstructed and brought back to its glory days and open its gates once again, although I would love to go inside the ruins and get amazing photos of the old raised walk way and buildings.

Yes! 1000x Yes to what you have written! My wife and I were just there this weekend, and it's great to see this beautiful park coming back to life. I, like you, really hope to see this zoo remade and re-opened.
